Homophobes protest, and gays to not care about: Taylor swift has released a music video in support of LGBT

In it the singer makes out with Katy Perry in the costume of the Burger. American singer-songwriter Taylor swift has released a music video for the song "You Need To Calm Down" — and that her statement in support of LGBTQ+. The movie takes place in a trailer Park, where at this point celebrate a gay wedding. The video shows a group of protesters unsuccessfully rallying near the Park.

The video starred three dozen celebrities and friends Taylor swift. In particular, the singer Adam Lambert, actor Ryan Reynolds, drag Queen Ru Paul, TV presenter Ellen DeGeneres, five stars of the show "Queer Eye", actress Laverne Cox, as well as an unexpected cameo singer Katy Perry.

Katy Perry appears at the end of the video as a Burger — she hugs Taylor swift, who portrays French fries. The singers were at war for a long time, but took the first steps to reconciliation in may 2018. Before the release of the video on the network there were rumors that the singer will kiss in the video, but swift denied it.

Taylor swift's video ends with the caption: "Let's show our pride by demanding that laws truly treat all citizens equally at the national level."

The singer called for her to sign a petition in which she asks the Senate to support the equality act, which gives the LGBTQ community broad protections. On 17 may, the law was supported by the House of representatives.

The song "You Need To Calm Down" will be included on Taylor swift's seventh album, "Lover", which is scheduled to premiere on August 23.
On June 15, Taylor swift performed at the gay bar Stonewall Inn in new York, where they celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising in 1969, which began the movement for gay rights.
In April 2019, Taylor swift donated more than 100 thousand dollars to the Tennessee Equality Project, which supports representatives of the LGBTQ community.
