The usual browser will remain free, money will be taken only for additional services.

Mozilla may release a paid version of Firefox in October 2019. This writes the German edition of T3N, citing the words of the head of Mozilla Chris Byrd.

It is assumed that users will pay for subscription to additional services in the browser. Its cost has not yet been determined.

"I want to clarify: we do not plan to take money for those things that are free now. We will offer a premium level of service," said Byrd. Mozilla can provide users with access to the VPN service and other features to protect privacy, notes The Next Web. The company has already experimented with Proton VPN service and promoted its $10 monthly subscription in the browser.
